The client approached us and wanted a full bathroom renovation but did not no where to start. Working with the client we advised and designed the new bathroom to satisfy the client needs. 

As part of our one stop shop service, Blackwater advised on and sourced the suitable bathroom ware & tiles for the project.

Scope of work: 

Phase 1

  • Made safe the existing electrics and water supply
  • Gutted the bathroom in full
  • Removed the existing bathroom ware
  • Stripped the walls, ceiling & flooring
  • Core drilled new extractor fan in external wall for proper ventilation
  • Removed all waste & debris off site.

Phase 2

  • Installed first fix plumbing & electrics 
  • Insulated the walls
  • Installed waterproofing membrane & taped all joints in walls & floor
  • Slabbed back walls & ceiling 

Phase 3

  • Skimcoat plastered the ceilings & walls
  • Tiled the shower area & floor
  • Installed the new shower tray, shower, shower doors, toilet, vanity unit & bathroom accessories 
  • Conducted a pressure test & visual inspection to inspect for any possible leaks
  • Installed spot lights in the ceiling & wired extractor fan 
  • Installed new door, skirting & architrave 
  • Cleaned up & left the house neat & tidy

Conclusion

The client was extremely satisfied with the finished product as the new bathroom met all their needs. In particular they found our one stop shop service very helpful as it eliminated all the stress for them.

Skim-coated plaster on walls and ceilings, followed by precise tiling of the shower area and floors.

Installed all new bathroom fixtures including shower, vanity, toilet, and accessories, ensuring functionality and aesthetics.

Final Touches & Cleanup

Conducted final tests for leaks, installed lighting and skirting, and completed a thorough cleanup, leaving the space tidy.
